1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Seeing the vast expanse of the mountains, the views are difficult to imagine and you need to see them for yourself. Coming across Inca ruins along the path was unexpected and wonderful.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
You don’t need as many clothes as you think and budget more than they say for tips.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It’s hard to tell. I was disappointed to hear that the porters are paid minimum wage and are dependent on tips. However, while we were there the host company did take our porters on a tour of Machu Picchu, which was their first visit, despite pottering on the trail. The trail was clean and we were careful to take our rubbish to be disposed of properly.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Fantastic trip and guides, the trip notes from the host company need to be updated - the kit lists and tip advice were confusing. It would have been very useful to be able to be in touch with the other group members prior to leaving home.Alan Chaffey review 1 Nov 2022

Machu Piccu - the achievement of doing the trail and seeing the historic site at the end.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Make sure you're fit enough to do it. It's hard but doable. I'm nearly 72 and reasonably fit for my age but it was a struggle at times.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Walking over Warmiwañuska and visiting the Uros on Lake Titicaca. Both experiences were amazing!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared for the physical aspect of the vacation as well as the high altitude.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we had an amazing local guide - Wilmer who was very passionate about his cultural heritage as well as his community. He explained the importance of tourism especially after the pandemic. Everything we used on the treck was reusable and we were incoraged to use refills for our water bottles to reduce waste. Peru itself seems to try and separate waste (paper, plastic & other) by providing appropriate bins in tourist areas.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
